1920-ban Ausztriához csatolták – Annexed to Austria in 1920
Miután Ausztriához csatolták a Lajtabánságot, megtiltották a lakosságnak magyar népviseletük hordását. Ez azonban nem sikerült teljesen, mert miden vidéken megtartottak valamit a régiből /például hímzés a kötényen, ruhájuk színe, stb./, vagy az újonnan tervezett ruhákra rávarrták a magyar nemzetiszínű szalagot…
After the western region of Hungary – today called Burgenland – was annexed to Austria, Hungarians were forbidden to use their Hungarian attire. However they managed to keep something from the old wear /for example the embroidery on the apron, color combinations, etc.. New dress designs are decorated with red-white-green ribbons, to show their Hungarian etnicity.
